The West One condos, developed by Concord Developments, were completed in 2008. The building has 612 residences and 49 storeys, making it the tallest condo building in CityPlace; that will change once Canada House, the condo across the street, is completed.
This stand-alone tower shares its parking garage with the N1 and N2 condos at 15 Fort York and 15 Brunel Crt, completed in the same year.
The Positives of West One:
- Great amenities include a spa, indoor pool, gym, games room, theatre, and party room
- Breath-taking views all around
- Updated/modern lobby
- Good noise insulation between units
- Maintenance fees are $0.76/SQFT, which is lower than the average maintenance fees in Cityplace at $0.82/SQFT
Some drawbacks for West One:
- The average buying cost per SQFT and maintenance fees per foot are higher at West One than at N1 & N2 condos (completed at the same time and share the same courtyard)
- Separate parking elevators. Residents have to go down to the ground floor and take a separate elevator to get to the parking garage
- The building doesn't have an adequate amount of elevators for the number of units (4 elevators for 612 units). As a result, elevator wait times here are on the higher side

Great views, quick access to the Gardiner and a short walk to everything in the core. Elevators can be slow during rush hour and it gets busy in the lobby. Still, the convenience is hard to beat!

If you want sleep, running water, or working elevators, this isn’t the place for you. Constant fire alarms wake you up at night with no info given on what's going on. Just when you’re about to fall asleep again, another alert comes in. Water shutoffs are also common, lasting all day and when it's back it still doesn’t work. Elevators constantly broken, and with 50+ floors and only 4 elevators, you’re usually stuck. Look elsewhere.
